Boasting hydrostatic transmission – akin to an automatic car’s transmission, Mountfield’s 1538H-SD ride-on mower is slick, efficient, and powerful.
Thanks to it’s compact size the 1538H-SD is easy to manoeuvre as well as taking up less storage space in your garden shed or garage compared to a collecting ride-on.
The twin-blade cutting deck, with a 98cm cutting width, ensures a superb precision cut with grass clippings being blown out to the side through the side-discharge chute. Perfect for tackling longer grass. Alternatively, you could choose to mulch the grass clippings using a mulching plate (available as an optional extra) that is simple to fit. When mulching, the clippings are finely cut and blown back down onto the lawn to decompose and return valuable nutrients to the soil, saving you time and money on lawn fertilisers.
Once the job is done cleaning the cutting deck couldn’t be easier, simply connect your hose to the deck nozzle, turn on the water and engage the blades and you will quickly have a clean deck and blades ready for next time.
