Mountfield’s 1543H-SD is a fantastic side-discharge garden tractor. Powered by a STIGA ST500 452cc single cylinder engine and featuring a hydrostatic transmission this ride-on lawnmower is powerful enough to cut through the toughest of lawns. With no bulky grass collector present, it is also highly manoeuvrable – ideal for whizzing around large lawns and paddocks.
The 108cm cutting width twin bladed deck makes light work of large grassy areas and the smooth hydrostatic transmission – akin to the automatic transmission in cars – makes driving this ride-on mower easy. There are seven cutting heights available ranging from 25-80mm selected by a handy lever and a simple flick of a switch engages the blades!
As a dedicated side-discharge machine this mower is excellent when tackling long, fast growing grass – the side-discharge arm will blow clippings neatly to the side to wilt down naturally. Alternatively fit a mulching plate (included) and the clippings are finely cut and blown back down adding valuable nutrients to the lawn – saving you money spent on lawn fertilisers and time emptying grass collectors. Simple.
Cleaning the underside of the deck after use couldn’t be easier, simply connect your hose to the deck nozzle, turn on the water and engage the blades to wash any grass or debris away. Job done!
